<br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca <br />authorizing that the 1987 budget be amended to allow for the purchase of a <br />base radio station for the Police Department. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Hr. Hartley noted that the budget amount for squad car "..ill be used either <br />to rebuild an existing squad or replace a squad if rebuilding is not <br />feasible. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to proceed <br />to develop a civil defense warning system in the City of Ramsey utilizing <br />the Landfill Fund 8S a borrowing source with payback to be arranged on a <br />multi-year basis. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Council agreed with the request for 8 plan rev~ew table by the Building <br />Department. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca stated he ~s in favor of addition a Detective position <br />in the Police Department. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley referred to the Park and Recreation proposals. Mr. Graczyk <br />suggested not funding those concepts at this time but when those items come <br />fo~ard, they can be accomplished by budget amendments with revenue source <br />to be from available fund balance. <br /> <br />Council took no action regarding proposals for Highways, Streets Q~d <br />Roadways Naintenance noting that any future approved e)~penditures could be <br />handled through budget amendments. <br /> <br />Tnere ~ere no ite~s budgeted for under Transportation Planning other than a <br />brie: c.iscussion of the possibil ity of a Park and Ride at the Rum River <br /> <br />P:az~ snc?p~ng cen=e=. <br /> <br />f..-DJOUP~'11ENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />adjourn tbe special City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion ca~=ied.
