This occurred when the Elofsons, my wife and myself sto~ped to see him to try and resolve this issue. The purpose of this letter is to clarify our posi tion on this. What I said was that we felt the market value of this land was wbrth the $1.15 per square foot-that the Elofsons had a p:-evious purchase agreement for. I also said I did not think .,e should have to ta]-;:e less than this fair marl~et value, ~~t I never said ~e wouldn't be ~illina to nec~otiate ~ith the city ,O~ a different value' that ~e could both aaree OD. I hope this letter lays to rest once and for all the state- ment he keeps making that I said we would not accept less than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) per acre. I apologize if I did not make myself clear to him on this point.
