"
J, r :. ...... , .. , ..... . .

Re:

Barton Sand and Gravel
Conditional Use Permit
to establish bituminous
asphalt operations

To Whom It May Concern:

In regard to the Barton Sand and Gravel proposed asphalt plant we would like
the Planning and Zoning Commission to consider, the following facts:

Directly across Highway 10 is Small World Daycare Center which has approxi-
mately 70 children registered. In the adjacent properties there is Small World
Daycare Center, Oakridge Construction & Realty, Inc., Chips on 10, Super Bowl,
Northern Oxygen, a church and sevp.n residences immediately south. 1m asphalt
plant will be a direct health hazard for the children plus the residents. The
installation of a asphalt plant;;.would.. directly affect and lower the property values
in the immediate area.

Truck traffic with an entrance and exit to the site would be hazardous to
everyone traveling Highway 10.

The smell from the plant would be obnoxious and cause health hazards to
anyone living or conducting a business to the area.

If the city of Ramsey wants future development, then this type of business
will only become a detriment to the community. With many other cities now
working hard at eliminating asphalt plants from their communities how can we even
consider the installation of this type of business?

Your. consideration to this matter is much appreciated and a vote of "no"
2S essential to the safety of existing businesses and residences.

Inc.

Joe and Mary Jo Sentyrz, Ramsey Residents
6726 137th Avenue N.W., Ramsey, MN

~......

~~v.?t:.
~t:~~"\..l\~~.<;4?:.z.
....~~..
,',.

RIOGE

CONSTRUCTION & REALTY, INC.
6740 HIGHWAY 10 NORTHWEST
ANOKA, MINNESOTA 55303
TELEPHONE: 427-1350

'5
