Councilmember Specht introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #25-066 RESOLUTION APPOINTING BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERS WHEREAS, there are open seats on the City’s boards and commissions as of April 1, 2025; and WHEREAS, the vacancies were advertised in the Ramsey Resident, the Anoka County Union, on the City’s website, on the City’s Facebook, on the Highway 10 sign and via the City's email notification system; and WHEREAS, the City Council conducted interviews on March 18, 2025; and WHEREAS, Per Minnesota Statue 469.095, the Mayor appoints members to the Economic Development Authority with approval from the Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council agreed by consensus to the following re-appointments to the boards and commissions: Environmental Policy Board Nick Burgess 4-year full term Park and Recreation Commission Dean Olson 4-year full term Planning Commission Cheri Gengler 4-year full term WHEREAS, the City Council agreed by consensus to the following new appointments to the boards and commissions: Economic Development Authority Hannah Karpen 1-year partial term Park and Recreation Commission Garth Anderson 4-year full term Planning Commission Debra Musgrove 4-year full term Planning Commission Jeffrey Lubarski 2-year partial term Planning Commission Nichole Rudack 2-year partial term NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Motion to adopt resolution #25-066 to appoint and re-appoint board and commissioners, as follows: o Economic Dev. Authority, Hannah Karpen to a 1-year partial term from 04 01-25 to 03-31-26 o Environmental Policy Board, Nick Burgess to a 4-year full term from 04-01-25 to 03- 31-29 o Park and Recreation Commission: Garth Anderson to a 4-year full term from 04-01-25 to 03-31-29 and Dean Olson to a 4-year full term from 4 01-25 to 03-31-29
