Global Glove continues to invest in Ramsey as we grow - we enjoy seeing Ramsey grow! Global Glove are proud members of the Chamber of Commerce as well. Operating here locally in Ramsey, MN - Global Glove manufactures and supplies distributors all over the world with Personal Protective Equipment - from gloves to hard hats to safety vests. Unlike some of our competitors, Global Glove and Safety Manufacturing Inc. is independently owned and operated. We do our best to maintain excellent curb appeal for the business and the community. We sponsor and/or donate to the Happy Day's Festival. We also sponsor and/or donate to the Business appreciation day/golf event. We are an Anoka Area Chamber Member. On a broad scale, Martin Marietta contributes to many large charitable organizations that serve the community. Organizations such as Boys & Girls Club, United Way, Salvation Army, Feed My Starving Children among others are a part of our charitable giving every year. On a local level, Martin Marietta contributed to the City of Ramsey Kids Safety Camp in 2024 as a Gold - Level Contributor. We routinely work with area technical colleges and universities to provide field experience for students pursuing engineering environmental science and quality control disciplines. We have maintained active participation in CAER (Community Awareness and Emergency Response) groups serving the metro region for over a decade and we promote safety through programs that help our communities prepare for and respond to emergencies. Lastly, Martin Marietta has been active through the Economic Development Authority annual events including participating in the summer golf tournament. Unlike many other businesses, the process of asphalt production is completely local due to the limitations on hauling our products and materials long distances. The aggregate materials are mined at Martin Marietta's sand and gravel pits within the area: Maple Grove, Elk River and Monticello. The finished hot asphalt mix produced on site is used on local road and construction projects due to the inability to haul it long distances before it cools. Additionally, the site takes in concrete and asphalt recycle products for use in new asphalt. At the Ramsey Plant, up to 35% of recycled asphalt pavement is incorporated into new asphalt mix. These materials come from local homeowners and businesses, again due to hauling limitations. So from start to finish and back again, everything we do comes from and supports the local community! 2007 5 Allowed residents mobility and leisure. We have also provided discounts to numerous veteran's groups and several non-profit foundations around Minnesota. 1981 80 We have a good working relationship with the City (which we are very grateful for).
