<br />CASE #: 3 <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />October 23,2006 <br /> <br />, i <br /> <br />~sg <br /> <br />Memo <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Ramsey Planning Commission <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Community Development Staff <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Staff Update <br /> <br />City Hall Move. City Hall staff and the Police Department will be relocating to the new <br />Municipal Center next Friday, October 27th. The November 2nd Planning Commission meeting <br />will be held at the Fire Station as usual, but staff expects the December meeting will be held in <br />the new Council chambers. <br /> <br />September and October City Council meeting review. The following is a brief summary of <br />actions taken by the City Council that may be of interest to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review of Green Valley Greenhouse Expansion, Case of Brad Wolf. The <br />City Council approved the site plan. <br /> <br />Zoning Chapter Amendments: Update District Definitions and Establish Public/Quasi-Public <br />District. The City Council adopted both amendments~ <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review of Minnesota Waterjet. The Council approved the site plan. <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review of GMI Building Expansion. The Council approved the site plan. <br /> <br />Request Jor Exception from the Development Moratorium, Case of Ron Tallman of Wild Oaks. <br />The Council adopted negative fIndings denying the request for exception to the development <br />moratorium. <br /> <br />Request for Preliminary Plat, Site Plan, rezoning to PUD, and Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br />for Skyline Pointe. The City Council approved (on a 4-3 vote) the Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment request to change the land use designation on the 3 northern parcels to Medium <br />Density Residential, but not on the southernmost parcel (Haubrich property). The preliminary <br />plat was approved contingent on reducing the number of units facing 151st Lane from 12 to 8, <br />additional buffering along Nowthen Blvd, further review of the sidewalk proposed for the south <br />side of 151 st Lane, and further review of traffic patterns on Nowthen between Sunwood and <br />Alpine Drive. The rezoning was tabled until fInal plat. <br /> <br />Requestfor Preliminary Plat, Site Plan, rezoning to PUD, and Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br />for Ebony Woods. The City Council tabled Ebony Woods to a work session for further review of <br />the zoning districts surrounding the property. This review took place at the October 10th Work <br /> <br />35 <br />
