CASE:~

PUBLIC HEARING
REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE TO THE IMPERVIOUS SURFACE RESTRICTIONS IN
THE WILD AND SCENIC RIVER OVERLAY DISTRICT;
CASE OF RUM RIVER WINES AND SPIRITS .
By: Amy Geisler, AICP, Associate Planner

Background:

The owners of Rum River Wines and Spirits are planning to expand the paved parking and
maneuvering area on their property at 14107 St Francis Blvd. Staff initially believed that the
proposal required a variance to the impervious surface restrictions to the Wild and Scenic River
zoning requirements for the Rum River. Upon further review of the proposal, it was determined
that tte area proposed for paving is currently a gravel surface, which is considered impervious
for stormwater management purposes. Thus, no variance is required.
- .

Because a public hearing notice was advertised and distributed to adjacent property owners, and
there was insufficient time to cancel the notice, the Board of Adjustment still needs to open the
public he~ng.

Board Action:

None required.

Reviewed By:
Asst.
