Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #24-160 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONSTRUCTION CONTINGENCY EXPENSE NO.6 <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-09, CENTRALIZED WATER TREATMENT <br />PLANT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-061 adopted March 28, <br />2023, a contract was awarded to Magney Construction, Inc. in the amount of $31,528,500.00 for <br />construction of a centralized Water Treatment Plant and an amendment was accepted from <br />Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services in the amount of $225,100.00 for additional <br />construction phase services for the Water Treatment Plant, and <br />WHEREAS, the project includes a general construction contingency cost in the amount <br />of $950,000 to pay for new items during construction that were not contemplated during the design <br />process, or for items that the owner, engineer, or contractor(s) propose to revise during <br />construction; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-226 adopted September <br />26, 2023, Construction Contingency Expense No. 1 was approved in the amount of $76,446.53; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-277 adopted November 14, <br />2023, Construction Contingency Expense No. 2 was approved in the amount of $135,654.02; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-073 adopted March 12, <br />2024, Construction Contingency Expense No. 3 was approved in the amount of $99,095.63; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-103 adopted April 9, 2024, <br />Construction Contingency Expense No. 4 was approved in the amount of $102,023.36; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-134 adopted May 14, 2024, <br />Construction Contingency Expense No. 5 was approved in the amount of $39,361.69; and <br />WHEREAS, AE2S has identified additional items requiring adjustments during <br />construction under Construction Contingency Expense No. 6 in the amount of $17,125.02. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to execute Construction <br />Contingency Expense No. 6 for Improvement Project #21-09 in the amount of $17,125.02 <br />for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />
