Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #24-156 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2024 <br />NEIGHBORHOOD PAVEMENT OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #24-07 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to overlay the pavement on numerous public <br />street segments in 2024 as identified within the 2024 — 2033 Capital Improvement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-281, adopted November 14, 2023, <br />the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolton & Menk, Inc., for topographic survey of the <br />pedestrian ramps within the project area; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-299, adopted on November 14, 2023, <br />the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for 2024 Neighborhood Pavement <br />Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #24-07; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-110, adopted on April 23, 2024, the <br />City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized <br />advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald on Friday April 26 and May 3, 2024; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, three (3) bids were received, opened and tabulated on June 4, 2024, and the following <br />bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids; and <br />Contractor <br />Base Bid <br />Alternate Bid <br />Total Bid <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />$114781973.36 <br />$831575.67 <br />$115621549.03 <br />GMH Asphalt Corporation <br />$11533,328.05 <br />$76,838.85 <br />$1,610,166.90 <br />Park Construction Company <br />K639,857.41 <br />$761867.08 <br />$117161724.49 <br />Engineer 's Estimate <br />$1, 462, 680. 00 <br />$821828. 75 <br />$11545, 508. 75 <br />WHEREAS, North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, who submitted a total bid in the amount of <br />$1,562,549.03 for construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications <br />and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />
