. . ouncl ugus I ~, '--~,~~ PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL' CITY OF RAMSEY COUNTY OF ANOKA STATE OF MINNESOTA A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on August 23, 1976, at Ramsey Elementary School, 15000 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 Also Present: Clerk-Treasurer Walker Engineer Sha Attorney Goodrich Present: Mayor Cox Councilman Gorham Councilman Mickelson Councilman Reimann Absent: Councilwoman Oliphant Mayor Cox called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. Pledge of allegiance to the flag led by Mayor Cox. Approval of Agenda. Motion by Councilman. Gorham, seconded by Councilman Mickelson . to approve the agenda with additions. Carried' 4 to 0 Citizen's Input Mr. Doug,las Lynch of 155th and Nutria spoke o'n lights adjacent to the Tom Thumb store entrance area. He stated that street lights should be installed at each corner of tne entrance. The City will take up this item with the Tom Thumb store manager. Minutes of Regular meeting, August 9, 1976. Corrections of Councilman Gorham's input on Page 2 after line 53 should read, no way did I agree with the way the city assessing situation was handled, itwQ~ a deplorable situation for the City of Ramsey and the tax payers of the City . of Ramsey deserve better. Correcting the corrections of the July 26th meeting it should read line .28 of Page 3 and line 32 of Page 3, that the vote was 4 to 1 Oliphant No. This correction would correct lines 25 and 26 of the August 9th minutes. Line 25 of Page one should read moot instead of most. " \ Motion by Councilman Reimann, seconded by Councilman Gorham to approve the minutes of the August 9th meeting with the corrections. Carried 4 to 0 Minutes of the August 19th meeting were not voted upon as there wasn't a quorum of members that were present at the meeting. Letters & Communications: A letter from the League of Minnesota Municipalities was read and noted. The subject of the letter was P.L. 94-369 the Public Works Act. Mayor Cox then recommended the following persons to Ramsey's Economic Development Commission. Bob Muller, Florien Backowski, Don Greenberg, Teresa Henderson, Al Sorteberg. Motion by Mayor Cox, seconded by Councilman Reimann to appoint the following persons to the Economic Development Commission: Bob Muller, Florien Backowski, Don Greenberg, Teresa Henderson and Al Sorteberg. Carried 4 to 0 Letter on the project community needs assessmen~' was brought up by, Clerk Walker. The Mayor ass i gned the proj ect to Council man Mi eke 1 son. \ . Letter from the State Fire Marshall acknowledgment of the report from Clerk Walker on the progress of the work order on City Hall read and filed.
