Gov <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br />Anoka County Law Day Events May 2 <br />Anoka County's Law Day event is 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday, May 2 at the Anoka County <br />Government Center and courthouse, 2100 3rd Ave., Anoka. <br />There will be free legal advice in criminal expungement, family law, and housing law, in <br />addition to clinics to help the public with driver's license issues and unpaid fines. <br />Events include: <br />• Expungement Clinic: Expungement is the process of going to court to ask a judge <br />to seal a court record. Walk-in appointments will take place at the Anoka County <br />Government Center in rooms 710 and 715. <br />• Family Law Clinic: Attorneys will be available for one-on-one consultations <br />regarding family law issues. Appointments will take place at the Anoka County <br />Government Center in Law Library E130. Each appointment will be 45 minutes. <br />Call 763-760-6679 to schedule. <br />• Housing Clinic: Free legal advice will be available on various housing law issues. <br />Appointments will take place at the Anoka County Government Center Courthouse. <br />Check in outside of courtroom 240. Services include help with evictions, lease <br />violations, repair problems, security deposits, moving out, getting belongings back, <br />lockouts, and eviction expungements. <br />• Driver's License Clinic: Limited appointments will be available for this clinic, <br />lasting until 2:30 p.m. Appointments will take place at the Anoka County <br />Government Center Courthouse on the fourth floor.
