That the sewer interceptor would end
there and that transportatiqn links to the Metro downtown area would be tied in
with this area. It is the logical area for Urban Services, therefore, the
planning has to be done in this area.

Mayor Cox indicated that the Metro Council wants this type of growth next to a
free standing community such as Anoka.

Mr. Dick Holland stated that he could see the merit of development next to a
free standing community.

Mayor Cox informed the public that there would be a public hearing on the matter
-at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th of February and that written input should be directed to
the Council through the Clerk-Treasurer.

Mayor Cox declared a special meeting to be held at 5:00 p.m., February 5, 1976,
at the City Ha 11 to di scuss the purchase of the Anoka City Land Fi 11 from the
City of Anoka.

Motion by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson to adjourn.
Carried 5 to 0

Meeting Adjourned at~10:30 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

/1 I . c,-
I{~..~, _[7t//:j~,~(__
Donald E.
