Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #25-091 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE PARTICIPATION IN ANOKA COUNTY'S HUD <br />PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 and the <br />Granston-Gonzales National Affordable Housing Act of 1990, every three (3) years Anoka <br />County must complete the Urban Requalification process in order to continue receiving and <br />administering Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds for the Community Development <br />Block Grant and HOME Programs; and <br />WHEREAS, as part of the requalification process the County is required to notify <br />participating communities of their option to be excluded from the Anoka County "Urban <br />County" qualification of the funding years 2026-2028; and <br />WHEREAS, the County's population, among other factors, is determinant of the <br />eligibility of the County and the number of resources which may be made available to the <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey has chosen to remain a participating community in the past; and <br />WHEREAS, it is herein determined that it is in Ramsey's best interest to have its <br />population counted together with other municipalities of Anoka County. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows, <br />1) City staff notify Anoka County of the intent to remain a participating community for the <br />funding years 2026-2028. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />And the following voted against the same: <br />And the following abstained: <br />And the following were absent <br />Where upon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />the 13th day of May, 2025. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />
