5. 17. CC Regular Session Meeting Date: 05/13/2025 Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Address infrastructure needs. Title: Adopt Resolution #25-102 Awarding Construction Staking Contract for High Point Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-05 Purpose/Background: Purpose: The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #25-102 awarding construction staking contract for High Point Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-05. Background: On April 22, 2025, City Council adopted Resolution #25-071, awarding a construction contract to North Valley, Inc. for the High Point Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-05. Construction staking is essential to the construction of said improvements, and City Staff does not have the capacity to perform construction staking in-house. Hakanson Anderson submitted a proposal for construction staking and as -built survey of the proposed improvements for a total amount of $28,800.00. City Staff proposes to administer and inspect construction. Plans and specifications were prepared in-house as part of Staff's normal duties. Notification: Notifications are not required as part of this case. Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: Adopt Resolution #25-102 awarding construction staking contract for High Point Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-05. Funding Source: On April 22, 2025, City Council adopted Resolution #25-071 awarding a construction contract to North Valley, Inc. for the High Point Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-05, in the bid amount of $1,366,954.38. Adding indirect costs in the amount of 23-percent, the total project costs are $1,681,353.89. Hakanson Anderson submitted a proposal for construction staking and as -built survey of the proposed improvements for a total amount of $28,800.00. These services are included in the indirect project costs and are proposed to be paid for with Pavement Management Funds and Storm Sewer Utility Funds. Recommendation: Staff recommends adopting Resolution #25-102 awarding construction staking contract for High Point Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-05. Outcome/Action:
