This would allow for stteet, and/or trail connections from 148th to the cui de sac of Garnet Street. Justification ul . . Two important trail opportunities exist relative to Peltzer Park. The first is immediately available, and consists of extending the access trail to the play equipment. around the cui de sac easterly to right-of-way on 148th lane. This provides residents of Regency Ponds more of a direct access to the park. The second connection, further to the east, would require acquisition of part of.th~ lot presently managed by MPCA. This would allow for street, and/or trail connections from I 48th to the cui de sac of Garnet Street, and thereby improve access to both Peltzer and Alpine Parks. as well as provide a circuitous walking loop within these neighborhoods. (See also Savanna Trail bridge.) Modest signage and iinproved landscape at Peltzer would be a benefit as well.
