<br />Councilmember Olson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #25-105 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR COMMERCIAL <br />INDOOR RECREATION AT 8500 BUNKER LAKE BOULEVARD NW, SUITE 100 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey received an application from In the Game MN LLC (the <br />“Applicant”), requesting a Conditional Use Permit for a commercial indoor recreation business <br />for indoor pickleball courts and golf simulators on the property legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Bunker Lake Industrial Park Fourth Addition, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota <br /> <br />(the “Subject Property”). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Subject Property is zoned I-1, Light Industrial, and guided Business Park <br />in the 2040 Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Commercial Indoor Recreation uses are classified as conditional uses requiring <br />review from Planning Commission and City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing on <br />May 22, 2025, that said public hearing was properly advertised; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the Site Plan and recommended approval of <br />it. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby grants approval of the Conditional Use Permit for <br />commercial indoor recreation, specifically pickleball and golf simulators, on the Subject <br />Property in accordance with relevant City Codes, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. Final legal form approved by the City Attorney. <br />b. That separate building and sign permits are required. <br />c. That the use of the space is for typical recreational play of pickleball and golf <br />simulators. Tournaments or other spectator events are not permitted based on the <br />Building Code occupancy classification and design. <br />d. That a one-time expansion of 5,500 square feet will be allowed under this Conditional <br />Use Permit, subject to obtaining building permits. Any expansion beyond 5,500 square <br />feet will require an amendment to this permit. <br /> <br />
