FACILITY USE AND RENTAL POLICY <br />MUNICIPAL CENTER/PARK CENTER <br />The purpose of this policy is to provide written guidelines in conjunction with the use and <br />rental of the Municipal Center and Park Center. This policy supersedes Resolution #88- <br />49 adopted March 22, 1988. <br />The Ramsey Municipal Center houses the administrative and police functions of the City <br />of Ramsey. Additionally, the Municipal Center serves as a location for various public <br />meetings of the City Council, Council Committees/Boards and other governmental <br />bodies. Regular meetings of the City Council are held at the Municipal Center on the 2 11d <br />and 4 Tuesdays in the Council Chambers and work sessions are held on the 1 St , 3 rd and <br />5 Tuesdays in the Alexander Ramsey Room. <br />With the Ramsey Municipal Center, the following room may be available for public use <br />in accordance with this policy: <br />Alexander Ramsey Room Capacity 274 <br />* *Please note that the Alexander Ramsey Room also serves as the City's official <br />Emergency Operations Center (EOC) —in the case that the EOC is in operation, <br />outside use of the room will not be available. <br />Mississippi River Room <br />Rum River Room <br />Trott Brook Room <br />Lake Itasca Room <br />PRIORITY OF USE <br />Capacity 10 <br />Capacity 10 <br />Capacity 10 <br />Capacity 10 <br />The Park Center has available for public use in accordance with this policy, one large <br />common area that accommodates a capacity of 74 persons. <br />The need to conduct City business takes precedence over any reservation, paid or unpaid. <br />Paid reservations will be rescheduled if possible or refunded if City business replaces the <br />community organization reservation. City facilities may only be reserved by not -for- <br />profit organizations or initiatives, paid or un -paid. <br />The priority of use of these facilities is as follows: <br />1) Governmental functions: <br />a) Offices and City Council <br />b) Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment <br />c) All Other Commissions <br />d) Sub- Committees of City Council or Commissions <br />e) Administrative <br />2) Organized Groups: <br />a) Senior Citizen Groups <br />
