FACILITY USE AND RENTAL POLICY MUNICIPAL CENTER/PARK CENTER The purpose of this policy is to provide written guidelines in conjunction with the use and rental of the Municipal Center and Park Center. This policy supersedes Resolution #88- 49 adopted March 22, 1988. The Ramsey Municipal Center houses the administrative and police functions of the City of Ramsey. Additionally, the Municipal Center serves as a location for various public meetings of the City Council, Council Committees/Boards and other governmental bodies. Regular meetings of the City Council are held at the Municipal Center on the 2 11d and 4 Tuesdays in the Council Chambers and work sessions are held on the 1 St , 3 rd and 5 Tuesdays in the Alexander Ramsey Room. With the Ramsey Municipal Center, the following room may be available for public use in accordance with this policy: Alexander Ramsey Room Capacity 274 * *Please note that the Alexander Ramsey Room also serves as the City's official Emergency Operations Center (EOC) —in the case that the EOC is in operation, outside use of the room will not be available. Mississippi River Room Rum River Room Trott Brook Room Lake Itasca Room PRIORITY OF USE Capacity 10 Capacity 10 Capacity 10 Capacity 10 The Park Center has available for public use in accordance with this policy, one large common area that accommodates a capacity of 74 persons. The need to conduct City business takes precedence over any reservation, paid or unpaid. Paid reservations will be rescheduled if possible or refunded if City business replaces the community organization reservation. City facilities may only be reserved by not -for- profit organizations or initiatives, paid or un -paid. The priority of use of these facilities is as follows: 1) Governmental functions: a) Offices and City Council b) Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment c) All Other Commissions d) Sub- Committees of City Council or Commissions e) Administrative 2) Organized Groups: a) Senior Citizen Groups
