Title: Adopt Resolution #25-124 Awarding Construction Staking Contract for 2025 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #25-07 Purpose/Background: Purpose: The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #25-124 awarding construction staking contract for 2025 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #25-07. Background: On May 27, 2025, City Council adopted Resolution #25-104, awarding a construction contract to North Valley, Inc. for the 2025 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #25-07. Construction staking is essential to the construction of said improvements, and City staff does not have the capacity to perform construction staking in-house. Hakanson Anderson submitted a proposal for construction staking of the proposed improvements for a total amount of $19,500.00. City staff proposes to administer and inspect construction. Plans and specifications were prepared in-house as part of staff's normal duties. Notification: Notifications are not required as part of this case. Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: Alternatives: Motion to adopt Resolution #25-124 awarding construction staking contract for 2025 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #25-07. Funding Source: On May 27, 2025, City Council adopted Resolution #25-104 awarding a construction contract to North Valley, Inc. for the 2025 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements in the total bid amount of $1,198,056.75. Adding indirect costs in the amount of 14-percent, the total project costs are $1,365,784.70. Hakanson Anderson submitted a proposal for construction staking of the proposed improvements for a total amount of $19,500.00. These services are included in the indirect project costs, and proposed to be paid with Pavement Management Funds. Recommendation: Staff recommends adopting Resolution #25-124 awarding construction staking contract for 2025 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #25-07.
