Absent: Commissioners Hendriksen and <br /> <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request For Variance From Sections 170.015F And 170.016A <br />Reiardini Setback From Thorouihfares~ Case Of Mr. Garnett <br />Pettersen: <br /> <br />Mr. Garnett Pettersen was present requesting a variance from thoroughfare <br />setback to construct a home 70 feet, rather than 110 feet, from the <br />centerline of Ramsey Blvd. <br /> <br />The Commission wanted to know the exact proposed location of the home on <br />the lot but the Pettersen's were not sure. The Commission also expressed <br />concern that it might be possible that the home would be as close as 30 <br />feet to the county road, 10 feet off the right-of-way, which would be a real <br />safety hazard. <br /> <br />Mr. Garnett Pettersen's son, Brian, was present and stated that the <br />proposed home would be his; the surveyor has indicated there would be a row <br />of trees between the home and the road; fill will be added to the lot to <br />attain the maximum front setback possible. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Holm to table <br />any action on Mr. Garnett Pettersen's request for a variance until the <br />applicant can provide a site plan prepared by a certified surveyor that <br />would indicate property boundaries, trees, swamp edge, home and septic <br />system location. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br />LaDue and Holm. <br />Howell. <br /> <br />Voting Yes: <br />Voting No: <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Shumway, <br />None.
