<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing on Thursday, <br />September 24, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Dreher's (Riversbend Associates <br />Partnership) request for a variance from Section 170.05 of the City Code <br />regarding maximum permitted size of identification signs. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:48 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Dick Dreher - 5275 Edina Industrial Blvd., Edina, MN 55435 - Stated that <br />most cities in the metro area specify different sign size limitations <br />depending on the type and location of a shopping center. River's Bend <br />Plaza would be considered a neighborhood shopping center and most <br />communities say that it is unreasonable to restrict signs to 100 square <br />feet in high speed and traffic areas. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holm and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Shumway, <br />LaDue, Terry, Holm and Hendriksen. Voting No: None.
