<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />ABoard of Adjustment was held Tuesday, April 24, 1984 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding <br />variance request of Mr. Gary Gorham to construct an accessory building <br />on an adjacent lot to his residence. <br /> <br />Members Present: Councilmember Jean Schlueter, Chairperson <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Al Sorteberg <br />Mayor Tom Gamec <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Attorney William Goodr~ch <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Reporter Carolyn Thompson <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Schlueter called the Board of Adjustment to order at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />BUSINESS <br /> <br />Mr. Gorham was present and submitted a sketch plan showing placement of <br />his residence on Lot 8 and the proposed placement of the accessory garage <br />on Lot 4. The proposed building size is 24' x 26' and the exterior will <br />match that of the current attached garage. The accessory garage will be <br />used for family vehicles and Mr. Gorham intends to put in a driveway to <br />the accessory garage. The placement of the accessory building is 30' from <br />the east lot line and leaves plenty of space for additional structures on <br />the lot. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to approve <br />the proposed findings of fact for Mr. Gary Gorham's variance request to <br />build an accessory structure on a vacant lot. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br />members Reimann <br />Van Wagner. <br /> <br />voting Yes: Chairperson Schlueter, Mayor Gamec, Council- <br />and Sorteberg. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to approve of <br />Mr. Gary Gorham's request to build an accessory structure on a vacan lot. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Reimann stated that Council would not be <br />approving anything out of the ordinary; if Mr. Gorham's two lots were <br />combined as one parcel, Mr. Gorham would be allowed to build an even larger <br />accessory building. <br /> <br />B of A/April 24, 1984 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
