<br />Page 2 <br />Board of Adjustment <br />March 12, 1979 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />corner of said Lot 13; thence Westerly along the Southerly line <br />of Lot 13, for a distance of 250 feet to the place of beginning, <br />all as shown by the files and records of the Register of Deeds <br />of Anoka County, Minnesota, and also known as 13557 Tungsten <br />Street N.W., Anoka, Minnesota. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />The City mailed notice of the variance request and Board of Adjust- <br />ment public hearing on January 8, 1979 to all residents within 350' <br />of the subject property. The City also published notice of the <br />January 8, 1979 public hearing in the Anoka County Union on <br />December 29, 1978. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment held a public hearing on the application re- <br />quest on January 8, 1979 at 7:45 P.M. This public hearing was con- <br />tinued to January 22, 1979 in order to obtain the City Engineers' <br />report on the subject. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />The City Staff met with residents and the applicant on January 15, <br />1979 in order to define the issues and a memo of said meeting was <br />presented to the Council dated January 19, 1979. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />The City Engineer presented his written report to the Board of <br />Adjustment on January 22, 1979. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />6) The Board of Adjustment again convened the continued public hearing <br />of January 8, 1979 on January 29, 1979. At the continued public <br />hearing on January 29, 1979 the Board determined that since the re- <br />quired E.Q.B. response would not be received until after February 16, <br />1979, the public hearing should again be continued on February 26, <br />1979. <br /> <br />7) By separate letters dated February 16, 1979 the E.Q.B. and D.N.R. <br />both approved the variance request as well as the proposed develop- <br />ment. <br /> <br />8) The Board of Adjustment received written letters in opposition to <br />the variance and development from: <br /> <br />Roger and Marlys Dickenson, dated January 8, 1979 <br />Merle L. Anderson, dated January 9, 1979 <br />Ruth Gustafson, dated January 10, 1979 <br />Priscilla O'Rourke, dated January 1,1979 <br />Roger and Minnie Dickenson, dated January 19, 1979 <br /> <br />9) The City's Police Chief submitted a memo to the City Administrator <br />concerning the parking and blocking issues dated January 26, 1979. <br /> <br />10) At the conclusion of the public hearing on February 26, 1979, the <br />Board of Adjustment directed the staff to prepare findings of fact <br />toward denial of the requested variance. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />B.
