Mr. Fournier stated that Iron Work's current position <br />is that there is still interest in the project contingent upon municipal <br />sewer and water improvements in the area. Sewer and water is critical in <br />order to get certain financing. <br /> <br />Mr. Greenberg directed commission members to come to the next EDC meeting <br />prepared to make recommendations for incentive proposals that would <br />promote: 1) new and expansion development in Ramsey and; 2) relocation of <br />small businesses from homes and pole barns into appropriate facilities. <br /> <br />Case #1: Subcommittee Reports: <br /> <br />a. Legislative Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that the Legislative Subcommittee should be meeting to <br />prepare issues for the upcoming legislative session and draft a letter to <br />be forwarded to representatives. Once EDC has formulated it's position and <br />concerns~ she will invite Representative Ernie Larsen and Senator Greg Dahl <br />to an EDe meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kurak stated that one of his concerns is sales tax on business <br />equipment. <br /> <br />b. Economic and Finance Subcommittee - <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />c. Publicity Subcommittee - <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />d. Subcommittee with Planning and Zoning Commission regarding review of <br />development standards - <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />Case #3: Discussion Reiardini Proposed Process For ResDondini To <br />ProsDective Businesses: <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed a draft for a proposed process for responding to <br />prospective businesses. <br /> <br />Commission consensus was to adopt the draft as policy. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that City Council conducted a meeting on December <br />2 with the affected property owners regarding two more options for <br />financing sewer and water improvements.
