Absen t: Chai rman Greenbe rg , <br />Commissioners Schmidt and Miller. <br /> <br />~~~ ~~: Qis<:(Il~~;j.g~QrlC~tx ~rQ~Q,r:~: <br /> <br />Mr. Gary Schneider and associate was present. <br /> <br />Commission proceeded to review brochure draft. <br /> <br />Commission consensus was to not include, in the brochure, average residential <br />property tax in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Gammission consensus is to not name personnel serving on Council and City <br />commissions; discussion also ensued regarding whether or not it is necessary <br />to list any commissions other than Council, EDC, and possibly Chamber of <br />Gammerce -- as these are the units that prospective businesses are most <br />interested in. <br /> <br />Regarding Fire Protection section, the consensus is to condense and list <br />number of officers, chief and state that there is full time protection. <br /> <br />Regarding Parks and Recreation section, some rewording is necessary as Central <br />Park is not on the river; possibly better not to try and name all parks and <br />include a picture as an example of parks. <br /> <br />On Page 9, State Bank of Anoka should be changed to Northern Bank and Mid- <br />America Bank of Coon Rapids is now First Bank of Coon Rapids. <br /> <br />Commission oonsensus is that the brochure, in it's present state, would serve <br />as good baCk-up material for those interested in obtaining more detailed <br />information on the City; the brochure, in it's finished state, should be <br />condensed and concise making it easy for a business person to read through. <br />Commission oonsensus is that pictures can say a lot more than words. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Cox and seconded by Commissioner Vevea that a <br />subcommi ttee by appointed to review the draft of the Ci ty brochure and report <br />back at the next Economic Development Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
