OeyelQ~: <br /> <br />Commissioner Cox stated that Council, at their special meeting of May 7. <br />launched the first step in establishing a tax incranent program in Ramsey. <br />Commissioner Cox stated that he feels that tax incranent financing could be <br />used for that area along Hwy. #101 he is also hopeful that tax incranent <br />financing can be used for a community center that would not be a cost burden <br />to the city. Commissioner Cox stated that Mr - Lyle McLaughlin was at the May <br />7 Council meeting and reported that negotiations are in the final stages for a <br />shopping center on the CUtter property along Hwy. #101 Ramsey should use tax <br />incranent financing to tie in with the developnent that shopping center will <br />bring in. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that in his opinion. economic developnent should be <br />reviewed with Planning and Zoning Commission1 there should be heavy and light <br />industrial and commercial areas targeted with and without municipal services. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Planning and zoning is currently in the process of <br />recodification and they have a work session scheduled for May 21 to discuss <br />commercial and industrial areas. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Cox and seconded by Commissioner Muller to direct that <br />EDC members Wagner, Muller. Miller and Hardin attend the May 21 work session <br />meeting regarding concerns in commercial/industrial zoning. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
