Commissioner Cox accepted the nomination. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Vevea and seconded by Commissioner Miller that <br />the nominations be closed. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Cox, <br />Fults, Vevea, Hardin, Miller and Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioners Schmidt, Schneider and Muller. <br /> <br />Case i3: Appoinbnent Of Officers To Ramsey Economic Developnent <br />Company: <br /> <br />Commission tabled this case. <br /> <br />Case 14: Naming Of Executive Subcamnittee To study And Identify Goals <br />And <l>jectives Of '!he Ramsey Economic Developnent Company: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that the Executive Subcommittee could be the Board <br />of Directors of the Company or a separate appointed committee. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that he would like to see people in the <br />business cammuni ty get involved and those persons should make up this <br />Ramsey Developnent Company officers and subcommittee. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that it might be that you have to be a stockholder <br />in the company to serve on the Executive subcommi ttee or as an <br />officer; once the stock is sold, new officers and subcommittees can be <br />arranged. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Cox and seconded by Commissioner Vevea to <br />appoint Commissioners Schmidt, Hardin, and Wagner and Chairman <br />Greenberg as the Executive Subcommittee to study and identify goals <br />and objectives of the Ramsey Economic Developnent Company. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Cox, <br />Fults, Miller, Hardin, Wagner and Vevea. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioners Schmidt, Muller and Schneider. <br /> <br />Case is: Comparison On housing Developnents (Informational Only): <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Mr. Schnelle and Mr. Berg prepared a canputer <br />canparison of the River's Bend project versus a rural housing area; <br />this canputer runout canpares assessed hane values, sale price, amount <br />of roads to be maintained and expected revenue to the Ci ty . <br /> <br />Commissioner Cox noted that it takes 349 rural setting homes to equal <br />the amount of revenue generated by 152 homes in River's Bend, however, <br />this type of developnent, generally, can be a burden on the community <br />and should only occur where utilities are easily accessible. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that it looks like the Rum River Hills Housing and <br /> <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />
