<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CASE IF3: <br /> <br />INFORMATION ITEMS <br />By: Planning Assistant Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />At its meeting on August 15, 1988, the City Council took the following <br />action: <br /> <br />A) Denied Holmquist's request to subdivide and rezone the northern <br />portion of 6326 Hwy. no. <br /> <br />B) Adopted ordinance to establish less stringent development <br />standards for properties along the Mississippi River where <br />municipal services are available. <br /> <br />C) Adopted ordinance permitting 3 off-sale liquor licenses. <br /> <br />D) Entered into a contract with Waste Management of Blaine for a <br />pilot recycling project. <br /> <br />2. At its meeting on August 23, 1988. the City Council took the following <br />action: <br /> <br />A) Appointed David Bawden to fill the City Council vacancy. <br /> <br />B) Approved Clayton Berg's site plan for expansion of Tender Touch <br />Car Wash. <br /> <br />C) <br /> <br />Approved funds for the production of two city brochures. <br /> <br />D) Approved a $2,000 expenditure to be used for the Discover Ramsey <br />Business Expo. <br /> <br />E) Awarded street and storm sewer improvements for Front Street to <br />Northdale Construction. <br /> <br />F) Scheduled a public hearing for September 13 at 7 :30 p.m. on a <br />proposed enabling resolution to create an ec onomic development <br />authority. City Attorney will be making a presentation at the <br />hearing. <br /> <br />G) Directed staff to prepare necessary documentation to support an <br />application to expand Ramsey's urban area; schedule a joint <br />workshop between Council and Planning and Zoning to review that <br />documentation. Jim Martin's comments made during Citizen Input <br />will also be addressed at this time; notify Jim Martin of that <br />workshop date and time. <br /> <br />-3 <br />
