MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />8.01: Legislative Update <br /> <br />City Administrator Hagen shared that this will be the last legislative update of the year as the <br />legislative session has officially ended. He said they had a handful of bills introduced that were a <br />part of the legislative priorities; however, only one was passed. He stated they received special <br />legislation regarding the TIF-14 district. He shared that bills that contained concerns from cities <br />with local zoning control were not passed, but they are hopeful they can work through this during <br />the legislative off-season. He added that the Staff will continue to work with Northstar Commuter <br />Rail staff for the future of the City’s public transportation. He announced upcoming meetings and <br />events. <br /> <br />Councilmember Specht encouraged residents to stay up to date on the City website and on <br />Facebook for upcoming events. <br /> <br />Councilmember Buscher noted that Senator Hoffman has been an advocate for Ramsey and wished <br />him and his wife a speedy recovery. <br /> <br />Councilmember Specht added that Senator Hoffman did a lot for Ramsey on the Highway 10 <br />project and thanked him for all he has done for Ramsey and shared that his prayers are with him <br />and his family. <br />9. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Peters, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heineman, Councilmembers Olson, Peters, Buscher, Riley, <br />Specht, and Stewart.
