Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Kurak, <br />Muller, Fults, Hardin and Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioners Vevea, Ippel and Gorecki. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Commission noted the following: <br /> <br />1. City Council public hearing and special meeting minutes dated June 9, <br />1987. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: ADpearance By Ms. Kris Flueiel Reiarding Proposed Project: <br /> <br />Ms. Kris Fluegel and her business partners, Sarah and Mark Sawyer, were <br />present to discuss their proposal to construct a dog training/dog <br />grooming/supply facility in near Armstrong Blvd. and Hwy. #10. The <br />building is proposed to be 60' x 125', decorative block, costing $200,000. <br />Ms. Fluegel stated she will be seeking tax increment financing for site <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Commissioner Gorecki arrived at this time. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Muller and seconded by Commissioner Fults to <br />indicate that the Commission is in favor of Ms. Fluegel's proposed project <br />and to recommend that City Council establish Tax Increment Development and <br />Financing Districts in the vicinity of Hwy. #10 N.W. and Armstrong Blvd., <br />including portions of Alpaca Estates. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Kurak, <br />Muller, Fults, Hardin, Wagner and Gorecki. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioners Vevea and Ippel. <br /> <br />Case #2: Subcommittee Reports: <br /> <br />a) Legislative Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg noted that not much was accomplished to relieve property <br />taxes for commercial/industrial during this past legislative session. <br /> <br />b) Economic and Finance Subcommittee - <br /> <br />No report at this time. <br /> <br />c) Publicity Subcommittee - <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed Ramsey's ad included in the advertising mailer <br />organized by Flintwood and River's Bend developers. <br /> <br />EDC/July 8, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
