<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CASE #2: <br /> <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING STAR CITY WORK PROGRAM <br />By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the last Commission meeting, a committee was formed to establish a work <br />program to complete the various Star City tasks. The Committee (Don <br />Greenberg, Steve Gorecki and Ken Wagner) met on Monday, August 24, 1987 to <br />review the Star City program requirements and the proposals to complete <br />these requirements from Paul Fournier and Commissioners Ippel and Kurak. <br /> <br />The Committee determined the following: <br /> <br />1. The proposals from Mr. Fournier and Commissioners Ippel and Kurak <br />are not what the EDC is looking for; there is no need for <br />management assistance; the City needs temporary help to complete <br />the various Star City activities. <br /> <br />2. The Commission should proceed to establish an internship so that <br />an intern (temporary position) can be hired to complete the Star <br />City activities. <br /> <br />3. That the Vo-Tech and Community College should be used as resources <br />to assist in completing the Star City activities. <br /> <br />4.
