<br />LITTLE SCHOOL
<br />Little School's education and recreational activities are designed to enrich and
<br />help your child's social, intellectual and physical growth. Children will take part
<br />in activities appropriate for their age levels such as arts and crafts, story time, nature
<br />study, movie time, creative movement, music, cooking, outdoor and indoor games,
<br />and a field trip (at additional cost) during the summer, as well as special events.
<br />Children will attend Little School for one and one-half hours per day, two days
<br />a week, for six weeks.

<br />Outdoor and gym activities - There will be games and various physical activities
<br />to help further development of coordination and motor control.

<br />TINY TOT TUMBLING
<br />Basic gymnastics tumbling moves will be taught with emphasis on developing
<br />balance and coordination. Students should wear comfortable stretchy clothing.
<br />Leotards are optional. Children must be the age indicated by the time of
<br />registration.

<br />Spring and summer sports have begun! We want
<br />to say THANKS! to all of you who have volunteered
<br />your time and energy to work with our youths dur-
<br />ing this season. We hope it's a successful and en-
<br />joyable experience for everyone!
<br />The CONCESSION STAND is open, once again,
<br />at Central Park. There's plenty there to quench your
<br />thirst and your hunger during this sports season.
<br />New, this year, are RYAA jackets, to take the chill
<br />off of a cool spring evening. Come on over and take
<br />a look. Orders for the jackets can be taken at the
<br />concession stand.
<br />There will be a K-3 SOCCER TOURNAMENT, dur-
<br />ing the Ramsey Lions Community Picnic, on Satur-
<br />day, June 11th, at Central Park. The tournament will
<br />take place on the soccer field from 3:00 to 7:00.
<br />Trophies will be awarded for this event. More infor-
<br />mation will be available from the soccer coaches in
<br />the near future. Hope to see you there!
<br />We'd like to remind you that RYAA's general
<br />meeting will be held on Monday, May 23rd, at 7:30
<br />p.m., in Ramsey City Hall. If you have any comments
<br />or suggestions, we'd appreciate your input at the
<br />meeting.

<br />Summer Camp and a lot more!
<br />
<br />Educational, challenging and unforgettable.
<br />Experience the fur trade with an "authentic"
<br />voyageur who teaches history, songs, lore and crafts
<br />at a remote lakeside camp reached only after pad-
<br />dling an authentic 34 foot voyageur canoe! Three
<br />hours of adventure ropes will bolster anyone's self
<br />confidence and, how better to learn about animal
<br />ecology than with observations enabled by the use
<br />of radio telemetry. Each half day session is careful-
<br />ly designed and instructed to assure that the ex-
<br />perience will make a lasting impression. ELC was
<br />the nation's first accredited environmental learning
<br />center and its new SUPERIOR SUMMER PRO-
<br />GRAM is another important first.

<br />The Ramsey Lions Club recently elected their new
<br />club officers for the 1988-89 fiscal year. They are:

<br />dinner on Sunday evening and ending with a bag
<br />lunch for the home trip on the following Sunday),

<br />the choice of a t-shirt or cap.

<br />A session from July 31 - August 7 (Sunday to Sun-
<br />day) will be offered for children aged 9 - 12.
<br />
<br />Registration confirmation and detailed information
<br />will be forwarded upon receipt of the following infor-
<br />mation and nonrefundable $50 deposit. Registration
<br />must be received prior to June 17.
<br />
<br />Transportation is provided. Trip to ELC; Depart
<br />from Anoka at 1 :00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
<br />Return from ELC: Children may be picked up at the
<br />same location the following Sunday at approximately
<br />12:45 p.m. Groups that number from 18-24 will be
<br />provided chaperoned van transportation and groups
<br />that number from 36 to 40 will be provided chaperon-
<br />ed coach transportation.

<br />SENIOR CITIZENS CLUB
<br />
<br />The Ramsey Senior Citizens Club met on May 4
<br />at the Senior Center in the lower level of Ramsey
<br />Municipal Center for their usual, delicious pot luck
<br />luncheon.
<br />The Choraliers joined the group for lunch and later
<br />presented a very nice program. Mary Guentzel and
<br />Gladys Reynolds told the group about their recent
<br />trip to Washington, D.C.
<br />The next meeting of the Senior Club will be a pot
<br />luck luncheon on June 14 at the Weigh Station Park.
<br />Note, this variation from their usual meeting date is
<br />for the month of June only. All persons attending in
<br />June are asked to bring their own eating utensils,
<br />beverages and dish to pass.
