PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARI~ <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANf~(A COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, June 7, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Roger Hurd's request for a <br />conditional use permit to operate a vehicle sales lot. <br /> <br />M~mbers Present: <br /> <br />5~. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br />City AttorneyWilliamGoodrich <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br /> <br />~embers Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Chairman Zin~erman called the public hearing to order at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Hurd was present and stated he is requesting a permit to operate a used <br />car sales lot on }~y. #10 and Ramsey Blvd. Mr. Hurd stated that the owners <br />of the organization would like to make a used car lot at this location that <br />is just as pleasing to the eye as their other dealerships in the twin <br />cities. <br /> <br />Gary Anderson - 5182 147th Circle - Inquired about Ramsey's long range plan <br />for hSCf. #10 as for as car lots is concerned. <br /> <br />Chairman Zin~rman - Stated that the specific area in Mr. Hurd's request is <br />zoned I-1 Industrial and requires a conditional use permit in order to sell <br />used cars there. Property to the south is zoned B-l, which is general <br />business and used car lots are a permitted use; the zoning is attracing car <br />dealers to that area. <br /> <br />~ADJOURNMENT. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holm and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
