PLANNING AND ZONING (DMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />5%]esday, June 7, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Atlas Incinerators, Inc.'s request for a <br />conditional use permit to construct and operate contract incinerators in <br />the research portion of their operation. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br />City Attorney WilliamGoodrich <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Labat of Atlas Incinerators, Inc. was present, introduced other <br />Atlas representatives present, and gave a slide presentation about the <br />company and it's proposal for the Ramsey site. <br /> <br /> !T ZEN N UT <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called for any positive comments from the audience. <br /> <br />Mr. I~bat read into the record a letter he received from a Ramsey resident <br />expressing support of Atlas' proposal. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich inquired as to who wrote the letter. <br /> <br />Mr. Labat stated that he did not get prior permission to divulge the <br />resident's name. <br /> <br />Kay McCulley - 14431 Wolfram - Stated that she wrote the letter in support <br />of Atlas' request. Ms. McCulley stated that she attended the informational <br />meeting conducted by Atlas at the AVTI and also discussed the issue with <br />Commissioner Haas Steffen.
