Mr. Hartley - Stated that the action legislature was considering was the <br />repeal of certain statutes that relate to the siting process that Ramsey is <br />familiar with as Site P. What it did not propose to repeal during the <br />legislative session was the authority of a county to site landfills without <br />regard to local legislation. That very law that gives counties the <br />authority to site landfills that are owned by the county also provides the <br />vehicle Mr. Hartley was explaining in his presentation. Mr. Hartley stated <br />that the portion of the statute he is responding to with a report and <br />ordinance was not being discussed for repeal by legislature and was not <br />being considered during the last session at any time. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holm and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br />Howell and Holm. <br />and Terry. <br /> <br />Voting Yes: <br />Voting No: <br /> <br />Chairmen Zimmerrr~n, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />None.
