We're Hiring! <br />Police Officer <br />Salary: $37.786 - $48.443 Hourly <br />Closing Date: Open Until Filed <br />The primary objectives of this position: to maintain <br />order, keeping the peace and responding to citizen's needs <br />by discouraging crimes through high -visibility policing, <br />investigative capability and the subsequent reporting and <br />apprehension of suspected violators of the law. The position <br />reports to the Police Sergeant. <br />Successful applicants must have at least an associates <br />degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or equivalent <br />qualifications meeting the state of Minnesota's requirements <br />to become an Officer. <br />The 2025 salary range per hour for this position is: <br />$37.786 to $48.443. <br />The 2025 longevity range per hour for this position is: <br />after 5 years: $49.412; after 8 years: $50.381; <br />after 12 years: $51.350; after 16 years: $52.318. <br />This is a full-time LELS Patrol union position. <br />Seasonal Maintenance Worker <br />Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 Hourly <br />Closing Date: Open Until Filed <br />The primary objectives of this position: to maintain <br />streets, parks, trails and facilities through tasks like mowing, <br />trimming, pruning, planting trees, landscaping, maintaining <br />athletic fields, picking up trash and assisting with street and <br />utility maintenance. <br />This temporary, non -union position will offer up to 40 <br />hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to <br />3:30 p.m., starting as early as August 4 and runs through <br />late October, possibly into early November, depending on <br />workload, candidate availability and Minnesota PELRA <br />guidelines. Applicants must be at least 17 years old by the <br />start date and possess a valid Minnesota driver's license. <br />Starting pay is $16.00-$18.00 hour and interviews will be <br />scheduled promptly. <br />ALL. This position provides cost- <br />effective public safety and superior customer service while <br />performing regularly scheduled community service work. It <br />also assists with high priority unanticipated calls for service <br />and with public protection and crime prevention. <br />Conditions of Employment: This internship is limited <br />to no more than five years, or one-year POST eligibility, <br />whichever comes first. <br />This is a 25-hour per week AFSCME union, uniformed, <br />non -sworn paid and benefit eligible internship. The <br />position is covered by Public Employees Retirement <br />Association (PERA) and ancillary benefits are available.
