<br />The College for Kids Com-
<br />puter Camp at Anoka-Ramsey
<br />Community College continues
<br />this summer with an addition-
<br />al session on keyboarding.
<br />More than half of each s~s-
<br />sion is in the computer lab on
<br />Apple computers. Students
<br />will develop and write comput-
<br />er programs in BASIC and are
<br />encouraged to enter in-class
<br />contests and receive prize's for
<br />thei r creations. I nstructors are

<br />teachers.
<br />The keyboarding session is
<br />either mornings or afternoons
<br />June 17 to June 21. The cost is
<br />$50.
<br />Four other levels of training
<br />-- Logo, Level II, III and IV -- are
<br />offered mornings or after-
<br />noons June 24 to July 19. The
<br />cost is $125.
<br />Those who take both 'key-
<br />boarding and another course
<br />pay $165.
<br />Each student receives a free
<br />
<br />disk.

<br />A week-long computer work-
<br />shop for adults this summer at
<br />Anoka-Ramsey Community
<br />College has been designed to
<br />fit individual ability levels.
<br />Both a beginners and an ex-
<br />perienced level course will be
<br />offered either mornings or eve-
<br />nings July 22 to July 26. In-
<br />
<br />struction is on Apple II com-
<br />puters.
<br />The special emphasis on
<br />business and personal appli-
<br />cations of micro computers
<br />will include the use of Apple
<br />Works and the use of word
<br />processing, data base
<br />management and spread-
<br />
<br />sheets. Prior knowledge of a
<br />typing keyboard is helpful.
<br />The cost of the workShop is
<br />$75. Each participant receives
<br />.a free disk.

<br />The public is invited to two
<br />concerts this spring at Anoka-
<br />Ramsey.
<br />The Spring Choral and Band
<br />Concert is Thursday, May 30,

<br />be performed by the Concert
<br />Band, Concert Choir and
<br />Chamber Singers. Admission

<br />The annual spring Jazz Con-
<br />cert is Monday, June 3, at 8
<br />p.m. in the College Theatre.

<br />John McNeil, jazz trumpet
<br />player from New York, will be
<br />featured soloist with AR's Jazz
<br />Ensemble. Admission is $2 for
<br />students, $4 for adults.
