<br /> <br />Economic Development <br />Authority <br /> <br />Scope and Work plan. <br /> <br /> <br />City Code Outlines Purpose of ED A <br /> <br />PurDose: 'The primary purpose of the Economic <br />Development Authority is to further the economic <br />development of Ramsey and vicinity; to aid, assist, <br />and promote the growth, expansion and development <br />of business and industrial concems, including small <br />business concerns in said area and thereby to <br />contribute to the economic well-being of the area as <br />measured by increased employment, payroll, <br />business volume, tax base and corresponding <br />factors. Review state legislation and local ordinances in <br />order to determine these regulations' impact of local <br />economic development. The Authority shall advise <br />the City Council of new legislation and ordinances it <br />would like to see adopted and/or amendments to <br />the same which it feels will promote economic <br />development. <br /> <br />b. Meet with and explore with local developers and <br />business people to learn their concems and receive <br />their input as to how the economic climate can be <br />improved. The Authority shall call upon and meet <br />with elected and appointed state and local officials <br />along with other appropriate resources it deems <br />necessary in order to accomplish its purpose. <br /> <br />1 <br />10 <br />
