PUBLIC HEARING & ADOPT ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 2007 SCHEDULE OF <br />RATES, FEES AND CHARGES <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br />Background: <br />PUBLIC HEARING # 1 <br />Effective June 30, 1991, Ordinance #91 -08 amended S7.01.10 of the City Code to allow the City <br />Council to annually set fees. <br />The City is allowed to annually adopt the Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges by Resolution, <br />but the City has chosen to adopt its entire schedule by ordinance. Ordinance adoption provides <br />the opportunity for comments at a Public Hearing and gives adequate time (30 days) before the <br />rates go into effect. <br />The attached ordinance was introduced at the November 14, 2006, City Council meeting with a <br />Public Hearing to be held on November 28, 2006. <br />The attached Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges reflect the rates & fees to be charged by the <br />City for services beginning January 1, 2007.
