Background: <br />During the past few months, staff has been working on developing a Discretionary Spending <br />policy at the direction of City Council. The policy has been discussed during several Council work <br />sessions and is now ready for Council consideration of adoption. The policy would become part of the <br />City's Administrative policies. During the most recent Council discussion of the policy, Council <br />requested financial reports of expenditure from both the Mayor and Council (0111) and Administration <br />budgets (0130) for miscellaneous operating expenses (6249), training (6335), and travel, meals, and <br />lodging (6331).
