Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #06 -11 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING DISCRETIONARY EXPENDITURES POLICY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, on an annual basis, adopts a budget for <br />training, travel, and miscellaneous operating expenditures; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to participate in and attend various events <br />sponsored by the local Chambers of Commerce and other community partners to <br />maintain a positive public image and support the efforts of such organizations; and <br />WHEREAS, the City conducts various employee recognition and appreciation <br />events throughout the year to recognize the contributions of the staff that serve the City; <br />WHEREAS, the Council wishes to establish a policy that clearly defines such <br />public purpose expenditures. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopts the Discretionary <br />Expenditures policy. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same• <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 28 day of November 2006. <br />
