CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: <br />08/12/2025 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Address infrastructure needs. <br />5. 12. <br />Title: <br />Adopt Resolution #25-185 Supporting State Highway 47/St. Francis Boulevard Improvements <br />Purpose/Background: <br />In 2023 a fatal accident occurred on State Hwy 47 just north of Alpine Dr. NW. The family of the deceased have <br />advocated to MnDOT for, at a minimum, additional signage restricting drivers from conducting u-turns on the <br />highway immediately following a center median where the accident occurred. The family is requesting the City <br />of Ramsey support their requests to MnDOT in signage improvements. The attached letter of support and <br />accompanying resolution express such support. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />The letter of support and resolution were drafted by the deceased family's attorney and reviewed by City Attorney <br />Knaak. City Attorney Knaak has provided his legal review for approval.
