Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #25-176 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2025 <br />PAVEMENT SKIM PATCHING, MAINTENANCE PROJECT #25-56 <br />and <br />WHEREAS, numerous public streets in the City of Ramsey require pavement patching; <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends skim patching 2.41 miles of public streets in 2025; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted a budget for 2025 including $600,000 to <br />maintain bituminous pavement on numerous public street segments in support of the City's <br />Pavement Management Program, of which $176,000 is available for skim patching, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #25-146 adopted June 24, <br />2025, the City Council approved plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for bids <br />for Maintenance Project #25-56, 2025 Pavement Skim Patching; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka County Union Herald on June 27th and <br />July 4th, 2025; and <br />WHEREAS, five (5) bids were received, opened and tabulated on August 5, 2025, and <br />the following bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and <br />advertisements for bids; and <br />Contractor Bid <br />North Valley, Inc. $132,179.97 <br />Diversified Paving $201,170.00 <br />TAG Asphalt and Concrete $174,415.00 <br />Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. $213,872.10 <br />Hanson Paving $257,698.35 <br />Engineer's Estimate $180, 000.00 <br />WHEREAS, the bid of North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of <br />$132,179.97 for the total bid for construction of the improvements in accordance with the <br />approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder <br />and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />
