APP&~RING A~ SUPER BOWL
FEBRUARY 5th & 6th

BILL BUNETTA.

Bill Bunetta is one of those rare
athletes, a talented professional
with an outstanding competitive re-
cord who has the ability to impart
his expertise to others. His in-
duction into the ABC Hall of Fame
in 1968 was in recognition of his
dual-faceted career as bowler and
teacher.
Bunetta started on the bowling
road to fame in 1942 and quickly
established his credentials as one
of the ga~e's outstanding stars. He
amassed an enviable record of Tourna-
ment victories and high-scoring
exploits over the years including
several ABC and PBA titles. Bill
has maintained a ten year average
of 212 and has six sanctioned
300's and 70 other unofficial
perfect games to his credit. In
After approximately 4 years, girls
hockey has returned to the Anoka area
Girls from Ramsey,Anoka,Champlin,
Blaine and Coon Rapids have joined
together to form two teams. One team
is the Mn.Women's Hockey League which
consists of girls 13 and older. The
other is the Pee Wee League made up
of girls 9-12. Both teams are sanc-
tioned by the Minnesota Amateur
Hockey Assn.
The womens team coached by Al
Springer and Darryl Cadwell, play in
the 'B' Division. This division
consists of seven other teams. Be-
cause of the late forming of the
team this fall, they are playing
exhibition games only. However
they still may be able to enter the
Minnesota state Championship Tourn-
ament early in March.
The Pee Wee team coached by Ron
Peifer, Jim Dahl and John Bredemus
will be playing their first game on
Jan 8,83. There are four other Pee
Wee teams which will be playing a
twelve game schedule and hopes for
a tournament in March,providing ice
ti~e can be found. The majority of
the Pee Wee games are played out-
doors to save on ice expenses.
Anyone wishing a game schedule or
any further information, please
contact Dorene at 753-4328.

GIRLS PEE WEE WIN BIG.
In their first season game against
Mpls,East the Pee Wee's came on str-
ong. Scoring for Anoka were Melanie
Pehrson adding one goal,Dina Hoel,
Wendy Phell and Sara Clouse each
scoring 2 goals. While Allison Givens
tallied a hat trick and 3 assists.
The defense by Jill Peifer also
helped to contribute to the win,mak-
ing the final score Anoka 10 - Mpls,
East 2.

SECOND WIN FOR ANOKA PEE WEE GIRLS.
With the temperature of 380the ice
at Anoka Sr.High turned to slush.
The girls decided to play their game
anyway.

Chicago exhibition in 1961, he
bowled a 599 two-game exhibition
series.
As great as his competitive career
has been, Bill Bunetta has achieved
even more distinction as one of the
profound students and theoreticians
of the sport. "The Professor," as
he is fondly referred to, has serv-
ed as "father confessor" to any
number of pro bowlers on the tour
where his ability to analyze the
intricacies of the game is recogniz-
ed and valued.
But Bill finds as much gratifi-
cation and personal satisfaction in
helping a neophyte get started in
bowling as he does in helping a to-
uring pro regain his lost touch.
Fortunately, Bill's great teach-
ing talent is now available on a
national scale. He is the chief pro-
fessional clinician for the National
Bowling Council, the promotional arm
of the industry which was formed to
stimulate the growth of the sport.
over Hopkins,Edina.
posting her first shut out as Wend!
contributed a goal.
Others members of the team are liedi
Alsdurf,Robin Blake,Donna Bredemus,
