<br />If you answered "Yes!" to anyone of these,
<br />Jaycee Women may be for you. These are just
<br />some of areas we, as Ramsey Jayc~e Women,
<br />will be active in during the coming months.
<br />Other areas include burn centers, aid to
<br />retarded citizens and working with Senior
<br />Citizens. Our activities include fund raising, as
<br />well as educating the citizens of Ramsey_
<br />Projects in the planning for the citizens of
<br />Ramsey include a bloodmobile (date not yet
<br />setl. 1.0. bracelets, babysitting clinic in the
<br />spring, poison prevention program at Ramsey
<br />School in February and a grocery raffle at the
<br />Ramsey School Open House.
<br />We will again this year be hosting a Cystic
<br />Fibrosis Bowl-a- Than at the Super Bowl on
<br />November 23. Last year the Ramsey Jaycee
<br />Women's bowlers raised over $4000.00 and the
<br />State of Minnesota raised over $140,000.00 to
<br />
<br />help fight this deadly disease of children!
<br />We have fun, too. Family is very important
<br />to each of us. We have a picnic planned for
<br />August 3 in conjunction with the Ramsey
<br />Jaycees and their families. Each December we
<br />have a Christmas Cookie Party for all the
<br />Jaycee-Jaycee Women children, complete with
<br />Santa.
<br />One social event we all enjoy is our Ladies
<br />Night Out. It's for us only! We go out to
<br />dinner, take in a show or play or go to
<br />someone's house for charades.
<br />Would you like to be apart of all this? We
<br />need you and your dieas. We meet the 2nd
<br />Th u rsday of each month at the Ramsey
<br />Municipal Building (City Hall) at 7:00. We meet
<br />at 7:00 so we can be finished by 10:00.

<br />Ramsey Youth Athletic Association
<br />
<br />The Ramsey Youth Athletic Association has Larson, Gary Lemke and Brad Botts, Darryl
<br />completed its first season of baseball and Cadwell, Bob Zaske, Bob Spilde, Margaret
<br />so ftball programs with approximately 250 Beissel, and Kim Morawczynski. Thank you too

<br />summer the teams sold popcorn to help raise The proceeds from the popcorn sales allowed
<br />funds for the activities sponsored by the early ordering of equipment for the football
<br />association. Trophies were awarded to the high and soccer programs. These will be the next
<br />salesperson on each team. These winners are: programs offered with registration information
<br />to be distributed to students du ring the first
<br />week of scllOo!. Again the association would
<br />lik1l to say thanks to the residents of Ramsey
<br />for their support during our first year.

<br />The Ramsey Bears baseball team coached by
<br />Terry Larson and the Ramsey Roadrunners
<br />softball team coached by Bob Spilde earned
<br />trips to a Twins game for selling the most
<br />popcorn as a team in each category. The
<br />Ramsey Raiders softball team coached by Kim
<br />Morawczynski qualified for a treat by averaging
<br />more than 15 buckets sold per team member.
<br />RY AA is grateful to the following Ramsey

<br />coaching the young people in baseball and

<br />CHEERFUL CHUGGERS NEWS
<br />The Cheertul Chuggers members have
<br />been busy with many activities.
<br />Our skit came in second at the
<br />Share- The-Fun Finals. Carletta Roche and
<br />Dena Silcox played a duet and also came
<br />in second.
<br />Many m embers attended Spring
<br />Review on April 12. Others participated
<br />in Club Olympics.
<br />On April 25 we helped plant a tree at
<br />Ramsey City Hall and we also helped the
<br />River Rug Rats plant trees in a park near
<br />the Mississippi River.
<br />A demonstration workshop was held at
<br />Ramsey School on May 12. Some of our
<br />members attended. Colleen Wurm gave a
<br />demonstration. Demonstration day is
<br />June 12.
<br />May 2 was the Spring Style Show at
<br />Northtown. Our sewing members
<br />participated in it. Colleen Wurm and
<br />Rochelle Roche played the piano during
<br />the Style Show.
<br />4-H Sunday was May 11. We donated a
<br />plant to Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka.
<br />Demonstrations have been given by
<br />Deanna Engh on how to write
<br />calligra phy, Kristie Anderson on
<br />toothpick art, Rochelle Roche on how to
<br />make a vest, Brian Perry on how to make
<br />playdough, Robbie Boros on thumbprint
<br />stationary, Colleen Wurm on how to
<br />make a bunny salad, Carletta Roche on
<br />how to care for a hamster, Dena Silcox
<br />on how to make a fruit float, Jim
<br />Harrington on string art; Sandy
<br />Harrington on how to make pressed
<br />flower pictures, and' Maria Gobernatz on
<br />how to make an impossible quiche.
