Listen for Kathy's broadcast and <br />keep up to date on happenings in Ramsey. <br />A special thank you to Kathy forgiving her time to the <br />City"for this service. <br /> <br />We would like our citizens to be aware t"at there is <br />a burning ban in the City. Effective last summer, we were <br />notified that fire wardens could no IlJnger issue burning <br />permits. When the burning ban is lifted, permits can be <br />obtained only through Minnesota 'Pollution Control <br />Agency, 1935 West County Road 132. Roseville, MN. <br />55113. <br /> <br />OPERATION I. D. <br /> <br />Ramsey Police Department <br />Operation 1.0. is still being offered free of charge by the <br />CitY's Police Department. All citizens who have not joined the <br />program are urged to do so. Operation Identification assures a <br />homeowner will have a 'list of all hislialuableitems with an <br />identifying number that is assigned only to him. <br />Participating homes will receive decals to place on their <br />doors and windows notifying potentialthievies that all valuables <br />are marked. For more information, call City Hall 427.1410 or <br />stop in, 14100 St. Francis Boulevard N.W. <br /> <br /> <br />NEW ADMINISTRATOR HIRED <br />FOR RAMSEY <br />After reviewing and researching 75 applications for the <br />Assistant Administrative position to the City Council, the <br />Personnel Committee chose Mr. Phii Nereson as their <br />recommendation to the Council. <br />The CounCil voted unanimously in favo,r of employing Mr. <br />Nereson, Clerk-Treasurer for Stewartville, MN., to fill the City's <br />highest non-elected post at a salary of $15,000 per year. <br />Mr. Nereson has been employed by Stewartville since <br />June of 1974. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Winona <br />State University and worked at retail sales before his appointment <br />at Stewartville. He and his wife and seven year old daughter will <br />be moving to the area. . <br /> <br />COUNCIL MEETINGS ARE HELD <br />each 2nd and 4th Monday at <br />Ramsey Elementary School 15000 <br />Nowthen Boulevard at 7:30p.m. <br /> <br />PLANNING & ZONING <br />COMMISSION MEETINGS are held <br />the first Monday at each month at <br />Ramsey Elementary School at 7:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />RAMSEY'S PARK BOARD <br />MEETS EACH MONTH at City <br />Hall.
