- 2 -

news from Ramsey. We want to thank our reporter, Mrs. Schneider, for
doing this job for us every week for free:

New residents are hereby notified that your fire insurance coverage should
include a binder to cover fire calls for your own protection. The cost
of this binder differs but possibly the cost would be about $5.00 per year.
If anew neighbor moves into your neighborhood, will you please tell them
about this?

COUNCIL MEETINGS ARE HELD TWICE A MONTH. The new meeting dates are the
second and fourth Mondays of each month at the new Ramsey Elementary School
15000 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.. Time is 7:30 p.m. You are welcome to attend
any or all meetings.

THE COUNCIL HAS HAD MEETINGS with our legislators, the Metropolitan Council,
The County Highway Department and the Minnesota State Highway Department
to provide information to try to get the very best legislation for our City,
to work together for a better road system and for updating our zoning or-
dinance and subdivision ordinance.

4 INCH REFLECTIVE HOUSE NUMBERS, FOR EVERY HOrr SE OR BUSINESS, THAT ARE
visible from the street, are required by ordinance in our City for our
safety and protection so an ambulance or police car can easily find its way.

THE DOG ORDINANCE WILL BE ENFORCED and we expect residents to cooperate~
by keeping their dogs on their own property. Many people will aeon ~e ~
~ in their gardens and we don't want complaints coming in about dogs
f doing damage anywhere in the City. ~sidents w_ose ~ogs~e otf t~e~r
property will be served with legal ci t'ations whether "their "dog \s a'pploe-
hended by the dog catc~er or not. This is expensive for the dog oWller
and the rest of the community also.

~~ We are requesting fire volunteers. They can contact anyone on the fire
I committee for instance Ed. Norell - 441-3837 or Joe Joslyn - 427-1329.

WITH SPRING COMING, WE WOULD like to repeat the numbers to call if you
have any problems on horses or if you need a permit, which is now required
by all persons owning horses within our city, to be issued after inspection
of your premises. The numbers are Tom Gamec - 421-7615 or 427-1410.

MR. JERRY YOUNG, LIBRARY DIRECTOR FOR THE COUNTY, came to one of our Council
meetings to give us information on library facilities that are available
for the residents of Ramsey. The Bookmobile takes a variety of library
materials to seven different locations in City of Ramsey every two weeks.
Although its size limits the amount of materials it can handle at anyone
time, with access to the resources of the entire Anoka County Library Sys-
tem, there's no limit to what the Bookmobile can offer you. You can re-
quest framed art prints, famous sculpture replicas, 8mm films, cassettes,
posters, records, magazines and books on everything imaginable and have
them delivered to the Bookmobile stop most convenient to you. Ramsey
residents can expect the Bookmobile to be in their neighborhood on the
following Wednesdays: f4arch 12, 26; April 9, 23; May 7, 21 at:
Hematite & l54th Lane 10:00-10:30
Chameleon & l52nd Lane 10:35-11:05
Driscoll & l76th Ave. 11:15-12:15
St. Francis Blvd. & 15lst.Ave 1:25-2:00
Xkimo & l50th Lane 2:10-2:40
Osmium & Potassium 2:50-3:25
Yttrium & l64th Lane 3:35-4:20
Information services are merely a phone call away.
