8
VACATION SAFETY

For a little peace of mind, prepare your home
for this summer's vacation.

Keep burglars away by making it appear
that you are home:

. Stop your mail and newspaper.

. Have a neighbor pick up junk mail and
flyers.

. Notify the Ramsey Police Department at
427-6812 and they will regularly inspect
your home.

To help fireproof your home:

. Unplug appliances such as TV's, air
conditioners, irons, coffee makers and
toasters.

. Make sure flammables and cleaning fluids
are properly stored. Never leave greasy,
paint or varnish rags lying around; the y
easily self-ignite.

. Do not store valuable papers in a metal
box; fire will turn them to ashes. Buy afire
rated container instead.

CITY OF RAMSEY:

Mayor: James Gilbertson
Council members:
Sheila Beyer
Glen Hardin
Kenneth Peterson
Gerald Zimmerman
City Administrator:
Ryan Schroeder
Administrative Offices:
Public Works Department:
Police Department:
Fire Department:
Fire and Police Emergency:

441-4077

753-4314
753-4964
427-3844
753-4387

427-1410
427-1410
427-4180
427-6812
427 -367 4
911

Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday

BURNS: THE DO'S AND DONITS WHEN
TREATMENT IS NECESSARY

Everyday, people of all ages come in contact with heat, chemicals and electrical sources
resulting in severe burns to their body.
