CITY OF RAMSEY <br />Schedule of Findings and Recommendations <br />Year Ended December 31, 2002 <br />This schedule summarizes findings and recommendations relating to compliance with Minnesota Statutes <br />and other internal control and compliance findings. The auditor, Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, <br />Radosevich & Co., P.A., is responsible for providing the information under the heading "Finding and <br />Recommendation." The City of Ramsey is responsible for providing the information under the heading <br />"management' s response." <br />FINDING AND RECOMMENDATION <br />2002 -1 Segregation of Duties <br />Due to the limited size of the City's office staff, the City has limited segregation of duties in certain <br />areas. <br />Questioned Costs <br />Not applicable. <br />Current Year vs. Prior Year <br />This is a current and prior year finding. <br />Recommendation <br />The City should continue to review and make improvements to its internal control on an ongoing <br />basis. <br />MANAGEMENT'S RESPONSE <br />The City reviews and makes improvements to its internal control on an ongoing basis and attempts to <br />maximize the segregation of duties in all areas within the limits of the staff available. However, the <br />City does not consider it cost beneficial at this time to increase the size of its staff in order to further <br />segregate accounting functions. <br />
