Recycling Utility Fund <br />The Recycling Utility Fund is used to account for all recycling revenues and expenses for the City. <br />Currently, those properties benefitting (residential) are billed quarterly for service. <br />The following is a summary of the operations of the fund for 2002 compared to the prior year: <br />2002 2001 <br />Storm Water Utility Fund <br />Operating revenues <br />Operating expenses <br />Operating income $ 4,002 $ 4,557 <br />Fund Equity consisted of the following on December 31, 2002 compared to the prior year: <br />Retained earnings $ 83,599 $ 82,761 <br />The Storm Water Utility Fund is used to account for all storm water revenues and expenses for the City. <br />This fund was created in 2000 to fund drainage problems throughout the City. <br />The following is a summary of the operations of the fund for 2002 and 2001, respectively: <br />Operating revenues <br />Operating expenses <br />Operating income $ 208,846 $ 233,809 <br />Fund Equity consisted of the following on December 31, 2002, compared to the prior year: <br />Contributed capital $ 1,002,353 $ 1,058,480 <br />Retained earnings 2,148,498 370,737 <br />Total fund equity $ 3,150,851 $ 1,429,217 <br />xvi <br />$ 171,386 $ 170,665 <br />167,384 166,108 <br />2002 2001 <br />2002 2001 <br />$ 332,026 $ 315,724 <br />123,180 81,915 <br />2002 2001 <br />
