Our fair weather friends are) <br />starting to come back. It was good to see Paul and Zoila ..... <br />Malamen. We viewed the video tape, "The Hitch", ..... <br />compliments of Edith Kiekow. It was really enjoyable.: <br />It took a lot of us back in time. / <br />We firmed up our plans to take over the food ..... <br />concession for the Ramsey Tree Expo which will be held m 1) <br />on April 30th at City Hall. Many of our group are ..... <br />donating goodies and time for this event. ..... <br />.. Looking ahead - at our next meeting, May 4th, we: 2) <br />will have the Anoka Choraliers with us for a musical: <br />program. We wish all those who are "under the weather" : 3) <br />quick recovery and God's speed. All seniors are welcome: <br />at our potluck which meets the ftrst Wednesday of each : <br />month at noon at Ramsey Municipal Center. Do plan to .. <br />join us. See you then. . <br />.. Brad Zahler, 15, of Andover has won ftrst place in the Young American <br />i Creative Patriotic Art contest sponsored by the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Anoka <br />..... VFWPost 1043. Secondand third places were won by Tori MyslayekofRamsey <br />i and Abraham Pausch of Andover. Zahler is a ninth-grader at Anoka High <br />..... School. He got the idea for the painting after looking ata book about the Vietnam <br />..... War. His painting will go to VFW district and state competitions. The contest <br />i was completed at the Anoka High School art department under the guidance of <br />art instructor Lana Thormodsgaard. <br />The VFW Ladies' Auxiliary of Ramsey, located on Highway #10, also <br />sponsored the contest at the Champlin Park High School. The ftrst place art prize <br />was won by Christine Sawicky, a student of Rebecca Lano, and was sent on to <br />district and state competition also.
